Steinmetz JROTC Career Academy
The Academy's health science/computer career focus, integrated core curriculum, and JROTC components are designed to improve attendance and graduation rates, raise scores on standardized tests, decrease tardies, expose the connections between classroom and daily life, and train participants in career fields related to computer and health occupations. The curriculum features clear and measurable outcomes, reduced class size, well defined support services, internships, team teaching, and interdisciplinary units that periodically bring all of the student's academic courses to bear on a particular problem in the health care/computer field, thus illuminating the problem with the skills, concepts, and perspectives peculiar to each discipline. In addition to its general high school course requirements, the curriculum will include four additional vocational electives.
